Aki Makita
graphic design, Illustration and.

Born in Japan in 1983.
Studied Industrial design in a high school in Japan.
found the design group 'Jestsquip' with friends in Tokyo and have several exhibitions since 2004.
started to study graphic design in UAL from 2005-present.

*my design philosophy.

Black dots on the white wall,drawing of lines by electric wires in the sky, typography that I can see around my place, sounds of ordinary life and discarded things.

When I look at my surroundings now, I feel everything is made of design, and they all are part of elements to create the perfect composition in everyday life.
Since I started to study design, I have been feeling this world is full of beautiful and meaningful elements which might make our lives slightly different and funny as spice.
I love to find one of that and put it into my works.
